9:00am - LifeGroup Breakouts
We will begin the month with specialized LifeGroup Breakout Sessions. Instead of our regular LifeGroup classes, we will be offering 7 class options for adults, as well as classes for youth, all on specific FAMILY related topics. We encourage spouses to attend a class together, and we have options also for those who are single, dating, and engaged. Read below to see which class is the best fit for you! We ask that you use the signup link below to RSVP for your class
- Preparing for Marriage: Becoming the Person God Wants You to Be // This one-session class focuses less on finding the right person and more on becoming the right person. Whether marriage is in your future or not, we’ll explore the character, maturity, faith, and personal responsibility that lead to wise choices and healthy relationships. The class emphasizes that strong marriages begin long before the wedding day—by developing Godly habits, understanding how God wants you to deal with your past and preparing for the future, and a clear understanding of commitment. When we grow into the right person, we are far more likely to make wise choices and build a marriage that honors God and lasts. Led by Darrell and Eleece Nephew.
- Marriage is Worth Fighting For // God wants every marriage to honor Him and be an earthly example of His heavenly relationship with us. This class will address a wide variety of topics, including finances, dealing with difficult family situations, balancing work and family, how to love and support your spouse, and other topics crucial to a successful marriage. Whether you have been married for 1 year or 30, this class will help you understand how to live and love your spouse. Led by the Gambrell and Smith families.
- Parenting Kids // The job of raising up children to honor and love the Lord is one of the most important jobs given to us by God here on earth. In this class, we will look at how to disciple your kids from a young age, learn how to lead your family in studying the Bible, discuss how to lovingly discipline your children, and how stay on the same page in parenting. This class is great for a family with young children, parents who are expecting, or even newly married couples who are planning to have a family in the future. Led by the Taylor family.
- Parenting Teens // In this class, we will do our best to navigate the ever-changing world of teenagers. Today's culture seems to pull young people in so many directions, and parents are constantly battling against the temptations of the world to lead and love their teens according to God's Word. Topics to be discussed will include disciplining teens, preparing your teen for adulthood, guidelines for content, the differences between boys and girls, and more. If you have teens, or will have teens soon, this class will be a great learning opportunity. Led by the Murphy family.
- Parenting Young Adults // Having adult children is a big transition for many parents. Watching your kids grow up can be both joyful and challenging as you learn how to lead and parent them in a new way. Some of the topics discussed in this class will be learning to let go, keeping them interested and involved in church, and having a voice in your child's life while not becoming overbearing. If you have adult children, college students, or teens nearing graduation, you will benefit greatly from the topics discussed in this class. Led by the DeWitt and Peacock families.
- Godly Grandparenting // The insight and experience that you are able to give to your grandchild are crucial in creating a Godly legacy for your family! The role that grandparents have in loving and caring for their grandchildren cannot be overstated. The Godly Grandparenting session will address topics, such as, how to be actively involved in the lives of your grandkids, passing your faith through generations, understanding your role, praying regularly for your grandkids, and more. We recommend this class to grandparents of all ages, and those who will soon be grandparents. Led by the Reed and Mabry families.
- Caring for Aging Parents // Taking care of your parents as they get older is an important, but daunting task. It's not easy watching your parents encounter the many difficulties that come with age, and it can be even harder to take charge and care for them. The role of a child in the life of their aging parents should be handled with great prayer, love, and planning. This class will provide valuable insight and direction to anyone struggling with how to honor their parents in the later stages of life. Led by Dan and Nyletta Mosher.
